Position Overview

H&M Mobile Home Remodelers is looking for a reliable, skilled Deck Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can build and repair decks safely and efficiently.

This position involves working on mobile homes and residential properties to construct new decks, porches, steps, railings, and related exterior structures.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, repair, and replace decks, porches, steps, and railings
• Read and follow basic plans, measurements, and job specifications
• Measure, cut, and install lumber and other building materials accurately
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly
• Ensure decks are structurally sound, level, secure, and built to code
• Perform demolition and removal of existing decks when necessary
• Work with customers and team members in a professional and respectful manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials
• Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable building codes

Qualifications

• Previous deck building, framing, carpentry, or general construction experience preferred
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble building materials
• Comfortable using common hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of basic construction and framing techniques
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry construction materials
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
